Historical and Structural Survey
Another complaint about the repairs preparations, that of insufficient historical and structural survey, is irrelevant from the standpoint of the ongoing repairs. Investor representatives confirm that there is a close relationship between the ongoing repairs and the completion of the survey. Historical and structural survey, that is available at the moment, is a completely sufficient basis for judging today’s status of the repairs – road surface and the bridge parapets. This opinion is supported even by the fact that in openings done in the bridge road surface, no historical structures can be found that would be the focus of scientific research. They are, in fact, layers from repairs not carried out properly in between 1966 and 1975. Similarly, it can be used as an argument when a complaint is being raised that the investor had not provided for recognition of stonemason’s marks. On the so far dismantled parapet, positively no marks have been identified.
